About Me
A lil about me
Hello, I'm Jessica Pociecha! I'm currently a junior in college at Kent State University in Ohio going after my
BFA in Visual Communication Design. Despite going to school in Ohio, my hometown resides in Chicago, Illinois.
My love of art and gaming has persisted throughout my life and followed me into my adulthood, where I now wish
to pursue illustration or designing characters and environments for video games.
I appreciate the art of storytelling through visuals. How you draw a character's facial expression or what
clothes they wear can say a lot about the piece. There are many things that can contribute to a design
communicating a strong and meaningful narrative, and that's something I love to explore in my own work. I also
have a passion for constantly trying new ideas or techniques with my designs. I value exploring and discovering
different art styles that can help me creatively elevate my own ideas and work. With all of this, and my passion
for illustration, I love to build visual worlds and characters that feel expressive and intriguing.
